I wish to thank those members of the Tesla Owners Club of BC and the public who came out to participate with the celebration last Saturday July 24, 2021 for the opening of the 12 new Tesla Superchargers in Hope, BC on Trans-Canada Hwy 1. I would also like to especially thank several members of the club who helped my wife Elizabeth and I to obtain, organize and setup the equipment and tent for this very successful event.

This event will take place a the Hope – Klassen Rd. Superchargers located on the Silver Creek Esso Travel Centre and Ricky’s Restaurant just off Trans Canada Hwy #1 near Hope, BC
The meet and greet will start about 11:30 am. We can choose to eat at Ricky’s restaurant right next to the Travel Centre. The facilities at the Travel Centre are fabulous, there are of course washrooms, a shower room and a meeting room. The Silver Creek Travel Centre has offered their conference room complete with tables, chairs and TV and can provide snacks and drinks by request from their Deli.
After the meetup, folks might enjoy touring Hope to visit our beautiful town . There are 2 lakes*, 3 beaches, 2 rivers, mountain lookouts, historic Othello train tunnels, several trails and other enjoyable things to see and do. Or maybe head out to Hwy #3 and take a 71 km ride up to Manning Park for a visit.
* Kawkawa Lake – small power boats, launch, beach, swimming, picnic area, washrooms
* Lake of the Woods – swimming, picnic, toilets, limited parking
We would love to be there, but we will be up country working on our new (retirement) home in Kamloops this Saturday. Hope you all have a great gathering.
